Michael Weldon
Team 4 - Red Michael played volleyball extensively in Canada and has a strong passion for the sport which was recently reignited by his oldest getting into the game. He believes strongly that a youth coach is a teacher, a mentor, and a role model who has the power to shape lives—for good or bad—and to leave a mark in the memories of young athletes. He believes that creating a fun experience where the players can grow and develop in a challenging, yet supportive environment, is job 1. To that end, expect his practices and games to be developed through that lens with focus on three priority development areas: 1. Learn the Game – Develop foundational skills and behaviors to become a good player and person 2. Live the Game – Learn how to play through challenging practices and competitive game play 3. Love the Game – Create the conditions that foster a joy for the sport Expect fun-filled and challenging practices designed to develop sportsmanship and volleyball skills while learning and developing a joy for the game! He is looking forward to meeting your kids and having a GREAT season playing the GREATEST sport in the world!

BYC Volleyball Commissioner
Kelly Jamali
Kelly's love of volleyball started almost 30 years ago where she played as a middle hitter on the Varsity team at Springfield High School. She was named All-Delco for volleyball her senior year, played 4 years of club ball during high school and went on to be a team captain and student volunteer for the club program at Millersville University. Her dedication to the sport didn't end after college. For about 15 years she played in local leagues year-round including women's and co-ed indoor 6's in West Chester as well as women's and co-ed grass doubles in Exton. Kelly began coaching youth volleyball 5 years ago as a head coach at BYC for her kids' girls and boys 3rd/4th grade teams. There she discovered her passion for teaching beginners about the game of volleyball and the skills they need to be successful. In 2018, she joined Sparks Volleyball Club and served an assistant coach for the 12U Blue & 13U Blue teams. In addition to volunteering her time as BYC Volleyball Commissioner, she also volunteers occasionally as a coach with the Rustin High School volleyball team and in Keiki Klub Programs.  Kelly also works full-time as a Project Manager at JPMorgan Chase and enjoys cooking, boating, SCUBA diving and spending time with her family. "Being part of a players journey from the start, watching them grow and learn new skills, and seeing their excitement as they do it, is truly a rewarding experience. Sharing the BYC experience with my two children has been absolutely priceless!" - Coach Kelly
